๐Ÿ” Overview

Bhutan, a Buddhist nation on the eastern edge of the Himalayas, is renowned for its monasteries, fortresses, and dramatic landscapes, which range from subtropical plains to steep mountains and valleys. Peaks like the 7,326m Jomolhari in the High Himalayas are popular trekking destinations. Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) monastery clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley. Bhutan is well known for holding some of the most vibrant and colorful festivals in the world. In fact, many travelers time their trip to Bhutan to coincide with the famous Paro and Thimphu Festivals.
