Dooars or Duars are the alluvial floodplains that lie south of the outer foothills of the Himalayas and north of the Brahmaputra basin in eastern-northeastern India. Approximately 350 km stretch between the Teesta River in West Bengal and the Dhansiri River in Assam in this region, which is about 30 km wide. Dooars is the gateway to the North Bengal and Bhutan hill stations. It is ideal for nature lovers and adventure seekers due to its tea gardens, forests, and the River Teesta. The area is well-known for its wildlife preserves, where one can see herds of deer, one-horned rhinos, elephants, guars, and reptiles.

Day-1

Board any suitable Train from Sealdah for New Mal Junction.

 

Reach New Mal Junction in the morning and transfer to hotel, after lunch visit Garumara Forest Medhla or Jatraprasad watch Tower. Night stay at Lataguri.

 

After early breakfast, proceed for Bindu, Jhalang, Samsing and Rocky Island via Murti, Khunia, Chapramari Forest and Coffee Garden, back to Lataguri (lunch on the way). Night stay at Lataguri.

 

After breakfast start for Jaldapara on the way visit Murti River and South Khairbari (Leopard Rescue center), reach Jaldapara at Noon and transfer to Hotel Night stay at Jaldapara.

 

Morning start for Jungle Safari after visit back to hotel, after breakfast with packed lunch visit Jayanti Buxa, Chilapota. After visit back to Hotel Night stay at Jaldapara.

Board any suitable Train for Sealdah. Night Stay: Train

Board any suitable Train from Sealdah for New Mal Junction.

 

Day-2

Reach New Mal Junction in the morning and transfer to hotel, after lunch visit Garumara Forest Medhla or Jatraprasad watch Tower. Night stay at Lataguri.

❌ Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change, and sometimes it becomes necessary to cancel or reschedule a tour booking. Please review our cancellation policy outlined below to ensure a smooth process:

1. Cancellation Timeframe:

  • Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the scheduled tour date will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 3 to 6 days of the scheduled tour date will be eligible for a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made within 2 days of the scheduled tour date will not be eligible for any refund.

2. Cancellation Process:

  • All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to contact@universaltoursandtravels.co.in.
  • Please include your booking reference number, tour name, and the reason for cancellation in your email.
  • Cancellation requests will be considered effective from the date they are received by our team during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM).

3. Rescheduling:

  • If you wish to reschedule your tour, please inform us at least 72 hours before the original tour date.
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur additional charges if the new date has a different pricing structure.

4. No-shows:

  • If you fail to show up for the tour without prior notice, no refunds or rescheduling options will be provided.

5. Tour Changes by Us:

  • In the unlikely event that we need to cancel or reschedule a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, or equipment malfunction), you will be offered the choice of a full refund or an alternative tour date.

6. Group Bookings:

  • For group bookings (10 or more participants), different cancellation and refund policies may apply. Please contact our group booking department for more information.

7. Force Majeure:

  • We are not responsible for cancellations or changes resulting from events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, political instability, or other force majeure situations.
